Chippies– Kids’ Sewing Camp

For young sewists who are ready to level up, Chippies offers a fun and fast‑paced introduction to repetitive block piecing. Led by instructor Jackie, this camp is designed for confident machine users who already have quilt‑piecing experience and are eager for a challenge.

Camp Dates & Times

Choose from multiple week‑long sessions:

  • June 1–5: 1:00pm–4:00pm
  • June 8–12: 10:00am–1:00pm or 1:00pm–4:00pm
  • June 15–19: 10:00am–1:00pm or 1:00pm–4:00pm

Who Can Attend

  • Finished 4rd grade and up
  • Confident machine piecers with prior quilting experience
  • Must know how to operate a sewing machine independently

What Campers Will Make

Using simple 2½" × 4½" rectangles, campers will create the repeating block pattern that gives Chippies its charm. This camp focuses on accuracy, consistency, and piecing technique.

Please note: Campers will complete the quilt top only during camp. Jackie will pre‑cut all fabrics so students can focus on sewing precision and block repetition.

What to Bring

  • Sewing machine in good working condition
  • Quilt shop quality fabrics, purchased and returned to the store by the Saturday before camp
  • Supply list provided upon registration
