Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum
The Old Craft Store, started by Richard Fleming and Melba Hamrick, has been in downtown Carrollton, TX since 1971. When it first opened, The Old Craft Store offered woodworking, painting, and sewing classes. If they had just added a “twist” they would have been way ahead of their time.
Melba eventually purchased the business and turned it into the wonderful quilt store it is today: offering quilting fabric, notions, and classes for every level of quilter. When she decided it was time to retire after 48 years at The Old Craft Store, Melba sold the business to a single mom with a love for quilting.
