SILK-FINISH is 100% long staple Egyptian cotton, 50wt, 150m(164yds). Natural cotton- Pure cotton thread made of 100% long staple Egyptian cotton with the soft sheen of natural cotton. The natural fibre is gentle on the skin. Feels soft, smooth, and silk-like. Due to the mercerization process SILK-FINISH reaches a high breaking resistance, has reduced shrinkage and is ironing resistant. The Old Craft Store, started by Richard Fleming and Melba Hamrick, has been in downtown Carrollton, TX since 1971. When it first opened, The Old Craft Store offered woodworking, painting, and sewing classes. If they had just added a “twist” they would have been way ahead of their time.
Melba eventually purchased the business and turned it into the wonderful quilt store it is today: offering quilting fabric, notions, and classes for every level of quilter. When she decided it was time to retire after 48 years at The Old Craft Store, Melba sold the business to a single mom with a love for quilting.
